Holiday a respite for mail delivery, trash pickup

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, many offices will be closed Monday.

•All area government offices will be closed Monday.

•There will be no mail delivery and post offices will be closed.

•Citilink will not provide bus service Monday, but will resume regular weekday service Tuesday.

•Fort Wayne’s parking meters will be free Monday.

•Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana will be closed Monday. This includes all Farm Wagon distributions. The food bank will resume regular operations Tuesday.

Trash pickup

•In Fort Wayne, residential garbage and recycling pickup will be pushed back one day all week, with Monday’s collection on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collection on Wednesday and concluding with Friday’s route on Saturday.

•Waste Management and National Serv-All will follow the same schedule.

•In Kosciusko County, Warsaw Street Department and Borden Waste-Away trash pickup will be one day later than normal. Stafford’s Solid Waste and Stuckman Sanitation will have normal pickup schedules.
