Kokomo (0-1) at Wayne (1-0): The Generals put a 61-27 beating on another North Central Conference team, Anderson, last week and will now face Kokomo. The Generals began to make people take notice last year with a 31-28 upset of the Wildkats in the sectional. Behind quarterback Jalen Thomas and running back Austin Yarbro, Wayne is out to make sure that game (as well as the 2013 opener) was no fluke.
Warsaw (1-0) at East Noble (1-0): The teams will play each other for the first time. The Tigers defeated Columbia City 33-14 last week , while the Knights started slowly but came on strong in a 43-14 win over Northrop. East Noble will try to stop Warsaw running back Tristan McClone, while the Tigers will try to do the same against Knights running back Brandon Mable.
New Haven (1-0) at Woodlan (1-0): Two of the best athletes in northeast Indiana will be on the field in New Haven’s Jordan Hogue and Woodlan’s Jaylin Bennett. Both teams opened the season with big wins, New Haven defeated Heritage 61-21 and Woodlan took care of Bellmont 43-18.
West Noble (0-1, 0-1) at Eastside (1-0, 0-0): The Blazers made quite a statement in Week 1 in a 46-22 win over DeKalb County rival Garrett. P.J. Dean and Co. showed the offense is already in high gear for Eastside, which will be playing its first league game. The Chargers fell in their opener, 16-13, to Angola.
Wawasee (1-0) at South Bend St. Joseph (1-0): The Warriors, coming off a 42-20 win last week over Whitko, will try to end a two-year losing streak to the Indians. South Bend St. Joseph beat a pretty good Chesterton team 22-17 in Week 1.
