A Fort Wayne man recently released from prison now faces accusations that he molested a 13-year-old girl last month.
According to court papers, Joshua Calhoun, 34, fondled and touched the girl beneath her underwear on July 8, despite her telling him to stop several times.
Two days later, the girls grandmother reported to the Allen County Sheriffs Department that Calhoun had molested her 13-year-old granddaughter, court papers stated.
Calhoun, of the 1400 block of Edgewater Avenue, was charged Friday with child solicitation and two counts of child molesting. There is a warrant for his arrest.
In 2002, Calhoun was accused in the shooting death of Eric Hale. Calhoun told police that he and another man went to Hales used-car business and shot him.
An Allen County judge sentenced Calhoun to 25 years in prison on convictions of reckless homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
According to the Indiana Department of Correction, Calhoun was released this summer. In Indiana, inmates are granted one day of credit for every day they serve on good behavior, effectively cutting sentences in half.
