The driver of a Jeep who was killed in a crash Tuesday evening south of Fort Wayne, after he was ejected and pinned underneath, has been identified.
The Allen County Coroner's office said Wednesday that the driver was Scott A. Saalfrank, 44, of Fort Wayne.
About 5:30 p.m., Saalfrank and a passenger were headed north on Thiele Road, and the Jeep went out of control after turning east onto Hamilton Road, which is a gravel road, according to the Allen County Sheriff's Department.
The passenger, a man, was taken to a hospital in good condition.
The coroner's office said Saalfrank was not wearing a seat belt.
The intersection is south of Interstate 469.
