A Fort Wayne man was arrested on several drug-related charges after a search warrant was served at his Union Chapel Road home Wednesday morning, city police said.
Daniel James Saylor, of the 6700 block of Union Chapel Road, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors, manufacturing meth, illegal dumping of controlled waste and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said in a statement. His bond was set at $50,000.
Police said their vice/narcotics division, with the assistance of their emergency services and meth suppression teams, served a search warrant for meth production at the home about 7:30 a.m.
Extensive evidence of meth production was located and seized, the statement said.
It said the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health also assisted at the scene, determining the residence was unfit for habitation pending toxic cleanup.
