Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized more than 600 Oxycodone pills valued at more than $16,000 during a traffic stop in northwest Ohio, the highway patrol said today.
Luciana F. Loyd, 38, of Detroit, and Vincent K. Barkdale, 22, of Radcliff, Ky., were held at the Wood County Justice Center in Bowling Green on charges of possession and trafficking in Oxycodone, the highway patrol said in a statement.
The statement said troopers on Interstate 75 in Wood County stopped a car with Kentucky registration on a speed violation about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Criminal indicators were observed, the statement said, and a patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the car. It said a search revealed 676 Oxycodone pills in the center console of the car valued at $16,225.
