The driver of a semi that rolled over on its side on northbound Interstate 69 Thursday morning walked away with minor injuries, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement
James Plogger, 55, of Springfield, Ill., was going north about 5:45 a.m. in a construction zone when his semi left the road, went down in a ditch and fell over on its side, the sheriff’s department said.
Plogger told officials he believes he might have fallen asleep at the wheel, according to the statement.
He was treated at the scene.
The northbound lanes were closed for a short time about 8 a.m. while the semi was pulled upright, pulled out of the ditch and taken away.
