Carroll senior linebacker Drue Tranquill committed to Purdue on Tuesday.
Tranquill made the announcement at the school's multi-purpose room after the Chargers' summer camp.
Tranquill picked the Boilermakers over Indiana and Cincinnati, two other schools which made an offer. He also had some interest from Notre Dame and Michigan.
Tranquill visited Purdue on Monday, and then Indiana on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Tranquill has seen his stock rise over the summer and is rated a four-star linebacker by some recruiting services.
ESPN has Tranquill as the eighth-best prospect in the state, while Scout.com has him as the nation's 27th best outside linebacker.
Last season, Tranquill had 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss and an interception in leading the Chargers to a 10-3 record and a loss in the regional.
