A Hicksville, Ohio, man was injured Thursday when his truck drove off Indiana 8 in DeKalb County, struck a tree and overturned, the county sheriff's department said.A man and woman have been charged with passing several counterfeit $100 bills at Fort Wayne businesses.
Henry Underwood, 19, and Starr Carter, 21, each face charges of corrupt business influence, forgery and theft.
According to court papers, employees at Salsa Grille, DeBrand Fine Chocolates and Kohl’s picked Underwood from a photo lineup as a customer who had used counterfeit $100 bills. Surveillance video at Kroger showed him passing fake bills there as well, court papers said.
A Target employee told police that Carter, Underwood’s cousin, used a counterfeit $100 bill, court papers stated.
The alleged crimes occurred between September and January, according to court papers.
Carter, from Monroeville, was in custody Friday at the Allen County Jail, with a bail amount of $15,000. Underwood, of the 200 block of Esmond Street, had not been arrested.
