A Hicksville, Ohio, man was injured Thursday when his truck drove off Indiana 8 in DeKalb County, struck a tree and overturned, the county sheriff's department said.Fire heavily damaged a home in the 1000 block of Brookdale Drive in New Haven on Thursday, according to a New Haven Emergency Services spokesman.
New Haven Adams Township Fire & EMS were called to the residence about 8:20 p.m. and saw heavy smoke and flames. Firefighters had the blaze under control in 40 minutes, according to the spokesman.
Three adults and three children escaped the blaze, with an adult male transported to St. Joe Hospital. No firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
