Cocaine sold out of home, restaurant, police say

A Fort Wayne man was arrested Friday morning, accused of selling cocaine to undercover officers out of a fast-food restaurant and his home.

At 6:40 a.m., officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department's Vice and Narcotics Division and Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Congress, between Lafayette Street and South Anthony Boulevard.

James E. Williams, 29, was charged with three counts of dealing cocaine, according to a statement issued by the police department.

It said Williams sold cocaine to detectives three times, twice out of his home and once from the walk-up window of a restaurant on South Anthony during his shift.

Police reported finding marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a .25-caliber handgun while searching the house. No injuries were reported.

Williams' bond was set at $150,000.
