Tony Mitchell set a Mad Ants one-game scoring record with 47 points, including the go-ahead basket with 5.2 seconds remaining to lead the Mad Ants to a 106-104 triple-overtime victory over Austin on Friday at Memorial Coliseum.
Austin had a last shot, but Ryan Ayers' three-pointer from the right corner missed.
Mitchell's 47 broke the old record of 44 set by Earl Calloway exactly five years ago.
Mitchell also dropped a 25-foot bank shot from the left side at the buzzer to send the game into the third overtime.
The Ants had the ball with 1.8 seconds left, and Mitchell caught a pass from Anthony Harris, and hit the shot directly in front of the Austin bench.
Toros guard Lester Hudson drained a three-pointer with 11.3 seconds left to give Austin a four-point lead.
Brandon Wallace hit a free throw with 4.9 seconds left to bring the Ants within 104-101.
Austin's JaMychal Green missed two free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining to give the Ants the last possession with 1.8 seconds left.
And that was the second overtime.
Anthony Harris' rainbow jumper from the right wing with 4.7 seconds remaining tied the game at 97-all in the first overtime.
The game was sent into the extra session when Austin's Tre Kelley's 25-footer rattled in and out.
