Man, woman named in advertising scam

A man and woman are accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from Fort Wayne small businesses in a scheme that promised advertising on pizza box fliers, door hangers and restaurant placemats.

Susan and Dale Lindemann, now divorced, posed as salespeople from various nonexistent firms when making their pitches to local businesses, court papers said.

Under the pretense of selling advertising, they took a total of $1,189.50 from Golden Oldies, ASAP Computers, Meyer Antiques & Collectables and Speaker World, court papers said.

Susan Lindemann, 49, of the 2700 block of South Harrison Street, and Dale Lindemann, 61, of the 4900 block of Bluffton Road, were each charged Tuesday with corrupt business influence. They had not yet been arrested.
