Indiana 930 signals to be retimed soon

– Signals on Indiana 930 in New Haven will be retimed starting Wednesday, with changes to several left-turn operations, Indiana Department of Transportation officials said.

At intersections with protected left turn signals, traditionally the left turn arrows precede the opposing through-traffic green signal. After they are re-timed, the intersections of Indiana 930 and Meyer Road, Maplecrest Road/Adams Center Road, Wayne Haven Street, and Brookwood Drive will have a left turn arrow that comes after the opposing through-traffic green.

In other words, through traffic will receive the green signal first, while left-turning vehicles wait on the lagging green arrow. The left arrow will complete the signal cycle, after the through-traffic signal has become red and before the intersecting street begins its green cycle.
