KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Komets had their bright spots -- a power-play goal from Thomas Beauregard, a Nick Wheeler goal, a late major penalty they successfully killed off -- but the result was all too familiar.
They lost 3-2 to the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday night at Wings Stadium.
It was the Komets' 11th loss in their last 15 games, despite 32 saves from goaltender Jeff Deslauriers, who had been sent down by Anaheim of the NHL earlier in the day.
Kalamazoo got two goals, including the game-winner, from forward Aaron Clarke.
The Komets have only eight games remaining in the regular season, starting Saturday night against Greenville at Memorial Coliseum
