The TinCaps will host their third Stitch ’n Pitch event next month, but this time they’re encouraging needle artists to contribute to a breast cancer awareness scarf that is more than a mile long and growing – and will be displayed in Fort WayneFORT WAYNE – Calhoun Street is scheduled to close just south of downtown.
The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced Wednesday that the busy street will close from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday and Monday between Murray and Wallace streets.
Fretters Construction Inc. will erect a crane and unload materials for an overhead walkway for the health clinic's new parking garage, the announcement said.
It said the contractor will have off-duty police officers assist in directing traffic at Calhoun and Baker streets and at Calhoun and Wallace streets.
