Driver airlifted after US 6 crash with semi

A northeast Indiana man was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital Tuesday after a crash with a semi on Indiana 6.

The Noble County Sheriff’s Department said Jonathon A. Ramirez Moreno, 19, of Cromwell, was on the south side of U.S. 6 near Indiana 9 about 2:20 p.m. when his Jeep pulled out in front of a Peterbilt truck.

Ramirez Moreno was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital, the sheriff’s department said in a written statement, but the nature and extent of his injuries were not immediately available.

The driver of the truck, Joseph J. Zborowski, 51, of Ligonier, was not injured, the sheriff’s department said.
