A marketing agency that includes Vera Bradley on its client list will move ahead with plans to relocate into a 20,000-square-foot building near the company.
The investment is pegged at $4.1 million and would mean 27 new jobs by 2016, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. said Monday.
The investment is twice the amount that had been previously shared publicly when Britton Marketing & Design Group indicated it would move from 1415 Coliseum Blvd. W. to the Silverado Industrial Park, investing up to $2 million.
Susan Britton, a co-founder of Britton Marketing, said in December that the relocation would double its space and mean 10 additional jobs.
A woman who answered the phone at Britton Monday said neither Susan Britton nor Jeff Britton, a principal of the agency, were available for comment Monday, but said questions could be answered through email to another employee at Britton.
Both the state and the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance issued releases Monday on the development.
Founded in 2006, Britton Marketing provides advertising and lifestyle marketing services to clients that specialize in female consumer goods that are influenced by color and fashion trends.
The company’s clients also include Summit Brands, Benjamin Moore Paints and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the news releases said.
