Canterbury headed to Terre Haute

CROWN POINT -- Canterbury's girls are off to their home away from home yet again.

For the fifth time in six years, the Cavaliers (24-3) cleared the semistate hurdle today, putting together an 18-2 run in the first half and then adding a late flurry to put away Lafayette Central Catholic 74-50 in the Class A semistate here.

Central Catholic trimmed a 23-point Canterbury lead to nine midway through the third quarter, but the Cavs scored 15 of the last 23 points of the third and 15 of the first 17 of the fourth quarter to end the suspense.

Five Cavaliers scored in double figures, led by Bailey Farley with 17 points.
