Driver in single-vehicle crash dies

The Adams County Sheriff's Department is investigating a crash Thursday morning that left one person dead.

The crash was called in to the 911 center shortly before 6:10 a.m. When deputies, the Preble Fire Department and Adams County EMS personnel arrived at the scene at County Road 900 N near 550 W, they found a single vehicle, the sheriff's department said in a written statement.

The driver and only known occupant died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
