20-year-old guilty of Chase Bank holdup

A 20-year-old Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty Thursday in Allen Superior Court to a single charge of robbery, admitting to robbing a Chase Bank in November.

Under the terms of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Dajuan C. Cooper, of the 3600 block of Robinwood Drive, faces four years in prison and two years on probation when he is sentenced next month.

In November, Cooper walked into the Chase Bank branch at 6704 E. State Blvd. and handed a note to the teller, demanding money.

He walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A tip to Crime Stoppers helped police solve the case almost a month later, authorities said.
