2 kids thrown from ATV, hospitalized

Two children, ages 10 and 13, were hurt in an all-terrain vehicle crash northwest of Montpelier, Ohio, according to the Williams County Sheriff’s Office.

The two were riding a 2008 Honda ATV on private property near County Road 5 and County Road P50 about 4 p.m. Friday.

The 13-year-old who was operating the vehicle lost control, and the ATV rolled over, throwing the riders from the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

Both were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The passenger was a girl, but the driver’s gender was not released. Their names also were not made public.
