Sims, Griner lead No. 1 Baylor over Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Odyssey Sims scored 18 points and Brittney Griner sparked No. 1 Baylor's game-clinching second-half run with her 13th career dunk, leading the Lady Bears to an easy 75-48 win over Texas on Saturday night.

Griner's dunk was the lone highlight for the 6-foot-8 All-American forward, who otherwise had a mostly forgettable game. Griner had just two points in the first half and didn't have a rebound until midway through the second half.

Griner finished with 14 points and three rebounds. Jordan Madden scored 11 points for Baylor (22-1, 12-0 Big 12).

Freshman Imani McGee-Stafford had 13 points and 18 rebounds to lead Texas, which has struggled badly in coach Karen Aston's first season. Freshman Empress Davenport scored 13 for the Longhorns (9-13, 2-9).
