A parking meter attendant was injured in a crash Tuesday at a downtown intersection, Fort Wayne police said.
The driver of a Jeep Liberty was headed south on Clay Street when she ran a stop sign at East Lewis Street, said officer Raquel Foster, a police spokeswoman.
The Jeep T-boned the parking meter attendants city vehicle, a Ford Escape, that was westbound on Lewis. The impact caused the Escape to roll and eventually come to rest upright, Foster said.
Police were sent to the crash scene about 3:45 p.m. With injuries to her head and face, the parking meter attendant was taken to a hospital in fair condition.
The Jeep driver was not hurt, Foster said.
The drivers names were not released. No one has been cited in the crash.
