Angola snow-removal rule in place

Starting at noon Monday, the Angola Police Department will begin enforcing the city snow-removal ordinance.

It requires owners, drivers or operators of any vehicle parked on any street, alley, public square or designated public parking lot to make sure each vehicle is moved once in each 24-hour period.

It is used whenever the city gets more than 4 inches of snow.

A red tag will be issued for violations, and vehicles could be removed or towed at the owners’ expense, the department said in a statement.

Moving vehicles allows the city to keep up with snow removal.
