Man dead following shooting

A man died after a Sunday night shooting on South Hanna Street, police said.

Fort Wayne police responded at 7:48 p.m. to a call at 2528 S. Hanna St., just north of East Pontiac Street, said Sgt. Mark Brooks, a police spokesman.

The man was found outside and taken to a hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, Brooks said. The victim, whose name was not released, later died.

At least one witness at the scene heard several gunshots and saw the shooting, Brooks said.

No one was in custody Sunday night, and police did not have any information related to a suspect vehicle.
