1 dead after Hanna Street shooting

A man died after a Sunday night shooting in the 2500 block of South Hanna Street, police said.

Fort Wayne police responded to a call at 2528 S. Hanna Street at 7:48 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Mark Brooks, a police spokesman.

The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, Brooks said. The man, whose name was not released, later died.

There was at least one witness at the scene who heard several gunshots and saw the shooting, Brooks said.

No one was in custody Sunday night and police did not have any information related to a suspect vehicle.
