Man, 20, admits pharmacy holdup

A Fort Wayne man accused of robbing a Walgreens pharmacy of pain medication and cash in October pleaded guilty to the heist in Allen Superior Court on Tuesday.

Beren Lemberg, 20, accepted a plea agreement that calls for him to be sentenced to eight years in prison on one count of felony robbery with five of those years suspended, according to court documents.

Lemberg robbed the Walgreens store at 6201 Stellhorn Road of methadone, fentanyl and cash on Oct. 4.

He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

Lemberg is also charged with robbing the same Walgreens on Nov. 4. He is charged in one count of robbery in that crime, but that case is pending.
