Mightbite, thanks for the encouraging news.
I sure hope they've been able to sign Mike Vaskivuo.

600+ miles from Brampton to the closest existing CHL team (Bloomington). Do they never learn?

Justin, was the "news" that you were working on, and wanted people to come back later on the announcement, was that Syro was coming in for a tryout? Was the signing of Syro the subject of Mightbite's post?
While I definitely applaud the K's for giving him a tryout, I hardly think that Syro (after a three year hiatus) would be the difference maker as the team stands now. Both he and Chaulk will take a couple weeks to get game ready and by then, it may be too late.
Your story in the Journal (Jan.25th0 kind of pointed a lot of different directions where Franke aims to explore.
Am I wrong in thinking you had someone else in mind, and Mightbite too? I know you can't speak for Mightbite and I don't expect you to give away the farm, I just want to know if Syro was the subject of your thread?
Thanks in advance.

Several franchises in the CHL are hurting...bad...and then we hear of Brampton (to go along with St. Charles, MO.) for next season... What are they thinking? The best part is, rumors out there they are looking at the Northeast/New England region of the U.S. for expansion as well...

Is this the "toss crap against the wall and see what sticks" method of minor league hockey survival??
