Over 30 league? Just a bit less talent than the ECHL. I would like to be wrong but I don't think he will be here long.

I thought the Frankes said they weren't interested less than a week ago

So long as Sims, etc. evaluate him objectively and don't succumb to nostalgia, this could turn out to be a good thing. The K's need a net-front presence. Does he qualify as a "veteran", though?

I don't understand the big deal with this. At no time did anyone say Syro was coming in to save the team and take over...he's getting a try out! Let's hope he sticks and picks up some goals for us. If he can't hang with the team, let's hope they bring in another body to try out.

Syro does not have veteran status.
He has skated in 256 regular season games before the beginning of this season.
The veteran limit is 260 or more regular season games at the start of the season.

Komets have nothing to lose in this case a lilies desperate but what the heck. They have no value to trade so they are following normal operating procedures by looking into the past

Is Heneley there as a D-man or winger ? He is listed as a LW on the stat sheet and also LW on website.

It is good to see the K's get some size. It seemed that when we lost Brittain, Elkins and Caputi, they were replaced by 5'9", 170lb guys. Im glad Caputi is back, and now Syroc at least gives us some size, so were not constantly getting pushed around like little kids. I have noticed on the road, we win, and there are always fights and more emotion shown, which makes me wonder if the Franke's are telling them to tone it down at home, because its "a family" environment. Maybe thats why we cant win at home, because they arent allowed to play hockey at home. Something is amiss, because at home there is hardly any hitting or guys showing emotion on the ice, they just go through the motions, lose and go to the locker room. Someone is holding them back at home, and it needs to stop.

I hope Henley does good at Lake Erie, because we dont need him here. I get tired of seeing him try to tell Marino and others what to do, when he sure seems like he is always out of position and getting burnt on D. But he sure is good at icing the puck.
