Manslaughter plea entered in liquor-store shooting

Lewis

A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty Wednesday to voluntary manslaughter in Allen Superior Court, admitting to shooting 27-year-old Christopher Mhoon inside a Fort Wayne liquor store in June.

Michael S. Lewis, of the 2600 block of Shady Oak Drive, faces a 25-year prison sentence, with an additional five years suspended and to be served on probation.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Allen County prosecutors dropped a more serious charge of murder, as well as their intention to seek an additional term of imprisonment.
