About 3 p.m. Thursday the Rev. Bill McGill looked out of his window and pondered that it was the 37th day of his 40-day fast to draw attention to violence in the community, and there had been no civilian-on-civilian homicides in Fort Wayne.The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a structure fire about 10 p.m. Monday at 2808 Taylor St. according to a news statement.
Crews saw smoke coming from the roof and eaves of the residence and forced entry. They found the home vacant.
The blaze was brought under control in about 15 minutes and an investigation revealed the cause to be electrical.
