Shahin and Lesley Modarressi, and their 1-year-old son, Arden, have been named the 2013 March of Dimes Ambassador Family for the Northeast Division March of Babies event. Arden was born 15 weeks premature and spent 104 days in the hospital.

The Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts awarded Cheryl Jarrett of the Huntington County Soil and Water Conservation District a Star Award for her work. The award was presented last week at the association’s annual conference.
