A man robbed a gas station Monday morning in south Fort Wayne, a city police report said.

About 5 a.m., a man came into the BP station at 7418 S. Anthony Blvd. He stuck something in a clerk’s side and demanded money, the report said.

The man took cash from the register and a pack of Newport cigarettes before leaving in a black Toyota with license plate RJL571.

He was last seen headed east on Tillman Road, the report said.

The robber was described as thin, 6-foot-2 and black. He had a scar on his face and wore gloves, a black coat with an emblem on the back and a black and white hat with strings hanging from the sides.
