Shooting victim seriously wounded

A man was seriously injured in a shooting Saturday night on Fort Wayne’s south side.

An argument between two groups of men in the 3500 block of Winter Street escalated when one of the groups opened fire on the other, police said.

Several rounds were exchanged. Officers were called at 9:48 p.m. and found the victim on Oxford Street nearby, police said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
