EVANSTON, Ill. – Trey Burke scored 23 points, Tim Hardaway Jr. added 21 and No. 2 Michigan pounded Northwestern 94-66 to remain unbeaten.

The Wolverines (14-0, 1-0) built a 21-point halftime and were never challenged by Northwestern (9-5, 0-1).

“14-0 that’s a great start – and 1-0 in the Big Ten – but we’ve got to keep the attitude where guys are still doubting us,” Burke said.

He’ll get no argument from his coach.

“We’re always working that way, like we’re hunting all the time and we don’t ever want to lose that,” John Beilein said. “It’s not a negative to always be working.”

No. 3 ARIZONA 92, COLORADO 83, OT: In Tucson, Ariz., Kevin Parrom scored five of his 16 points in overtime, and the Wildcats (13-0, 1-0) escaped with a victory in their Pac-12 opener.

Colorado’s Sabatino Chen banked in a three-pointer at the end of regulation but officials waved it off after reviewing the video, saying the ball was on his fingertips as time expired. Askia Booker led Colorado (10-3, 0-1) with 18 points.

Women

MICHIGAN 65, INDIANA 48: At Ann Arbor, Mich., the Hoosiers lost their Big Ten opener.

Indiana (9-5, 0-1) got 10 points, five rebounds and three assists from Jasmine McGhee. Michigan improved to 12-2 and 1-0.

No. 3 DUKE 67, N.C. STATE 57: In Raleigh, N.C., Haley Peters had 18 points and Chelsea Gray added 20 points for the Blue Devils (12-0, 2-0 ACC), who had to fight into the final minutes to put away the Wolfpack (8-6, 0-2).

No. 6 KENTUCKY 76, FLORIDA 69: In Lexington, Ky., A’dia Mathies scored 20 points and Jennifer O’Neill had 12 of her 17 in the second half as the Wildcats (13-1) topped the Gators in both teams’ Southeastern Conference opener.

No. 15 NORTH CAROLINA 60, No. 8 MARYLAND 57: In Chapel Hill, N.C., the Tar Heels blew most of an 11-point lead and were just 1 of 7 from the free throw line in the final minute but won their seventh straight.

No. 9 PENN STATE 73, NORTHWESTERN 69: In State College, Pa., the Nittany Lions (11-2, 1-0 Big Ten) got a layup and converted a late turnover into another key bucket to win, despite getting outrebounded 50-36 by the Wildcats.

No. 10 GEORGIA 77, MISSOURI 46: In Athens, Ga., Jasmine James scored 16 points to help the Bulldogs (13-1, 1-0) deal the Tigers (11-4, 0-1) a loss in their first Southeastern Conference game.
