A powerful winter storm is expected in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio Wednesday, with 4 to 7 inches of snow possible by late Wednesday night and locally higher amounts possible, the National Weather Service said today.
The storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy snows and strong north winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph, the weather service said in a statement.
The highest snow totals are likely along and southeast of U.S. 24, the statement said.
It said the combination of snow and wind might result in blowing and drifting of snow, along with reduced visibility at times.
