Arts update

AT THE LIBRARY:

•Georgetown Branch, 6600 E. State Blvd., will offer “8:16 Crafts: Snowflakes” Wednesday. For time, call 421-1320.

•The “Food for Fines” program will continue through Saturday at the Kendallville Public Library, Kendallville, and Limberlost Public Library, Rome City. For each non-perishable food item, the library will forgive $1 in fines. Items donated to the Kendallville Public Library will be donated to the Friendship Food Pantry and items donated to the Limberlost Public Library will be given to the Rome City Food Pantry.

CLASSES/WORKSHOPS: Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, will offer the following free TekVenture workshops: “Touch the World of the Mobius Band;” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday; “Learn 3D Modeling with SketchUp,” from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday; and “SketchUp to GCode Workshop;” from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday. GRANT AWARDED: The Indiana Arts Commission has approved a grant allocation from its Arts IN Education grant program to Northern Wells Community Schools in Ossian.
