Four school buses filled with middle and high school students were involved in a crash on Indiana 13, north of North Webster on Wednesday afternoon.FORT WAYNE – Yet another Fort Wayne financial institution has been robbed. On Wednesday morning, it was the PNC Bank at 5610 Coventry Lane.
The robber had on black “swishy” pants with a white stripe along each pant leg, the Fort Wayne Police Department said in a statement.
He entered the bank on the city’s southwest side shortly before 9:40 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding cash, police said.
He is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, weighing 200 to 250 pounds. Police said the robber had light facial hair with a red tint to it.
In addition to the noisy pants, he was last seen wearing a striped hat, ski goggles with gold tint, a scarf or something similar around his neck and a black puffy coat.
Witnesses told police the man ran west into a nearby neighborhood.
Several employees were in the bank when it was robbed, but there were no customers. No injuries were reported.
A police dog followed a track that ended in the 5100 block of Coventry Lane, police said.
