Indiana improves to 9-0

Cody Zeller had 19 points and 19 rebounds as No. 1 Indiana defeated Central Connecticut State 100-69 Saturday at Assembly Hall.

Indiana remained focus after losing reserve forward Austin Etherington to a left knee injury late in the first half. The sophomore was taken off in a stretcher after suffering the injury while defending under the basket with 2:28 left in the first half. IU officials said he is being evaluated.

Zeller was one of five Hoosiers (9-0) to reach double figures in scoring.

Christian Watford scored 21 points, Victor Oladipo had 15 and Will Sheehey had 12 points and Jordan Hulls and had 10 points.

Central Connecticut State's Kyle Vinales was held to seven points. The guard entered the game as the nation's leading scorer at 25.9 points per game.

Matt Hunter had 40 points for the Blue Devils (4-4).
