2 hurt in south-side shooting

Two people were injured, one critically, in a shooting at Boltz and Warsaw streets on Fort Wayne's south side Monday afternoon, city police said.

Police said in a statement they responded to the intersection about 3:25 p.m. and discovered two victims.

A 24-year-old woman appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the statement said. It said a 19-year-old man had at least two gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital in fair condition.

Police said they have no motive for the shootings and no information about suspects. They asked anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The shootings are being investigated by city police and the Allen County prosecutor's office.
