Meth lab found in car; 4 are arrested

Four area men were arrested after a mobile methamphetamine lab was found Monday in a car that had been reported stolen in Fort Wayne, the Indiana State Police said.

Shortly after 8 a.m., state police received a report of an erratic driver on U.S. 30 near Plymouth. The car, a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix, was stopped for a traffic violation.

Through questioning, police learned the car was stolen and that it contained a meth lab. The driver, Bradley Shopoff, 49, of Fort Wayne, and the passengers – Terrence Welch, 41, of Fort Wayne; Joshua Baughman, 22, of Fremont; and Dana Moon, 22, of Angola – were arrested.

Shopoff, Baughman and Moon were each charged with four felonies: dealing meth, auto theft, possession of precursors and meth possession. Shopoff faces an additional charge of false informing.

They were being held Tuesday evening at the Marshall County Jail, each with bail set at $100,000.

State police said Welch was charged with dealing meth. He was not in custody Tuesday evening.
