Raid at lake yields hundreds of pot plants

Bridges

An Allen County man was being held in the without bond in the county jail Monday, accused of growing hundreds of marijuana plants, some as tall as 10 feet.

Indiana State Police said Saturday's raid at Lake Everett was the culmination of a five-month-long joint investigation among state police, the Allen County Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

In April, the task force got a tip about the large outdoor marijuana growing operation northwest of Fort Wayne. On Saturday, Allen County SWAT officers raided a residence in the 13200 block of Lake Everett Drive.

Jason E. Bridges, 32, was charged with felony marijuana possession and dealing charges, state police said.

Police reported seizing another four pounds of marijuana from inside the home.
