Bennett

Warsaw police say an argument about drug use before dawn Wednesday ended in minor injuries, but the woman involved stabbed a man three times in the chest with a steak knife.

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call shortly before 6:25 a.m. at an address in the 1600 block of East Clark Street. Dispatchers called the number back and were told a domestic dispute was under way and the woman had a knife.

Police found Michael A. Mott, 41, with three minor stab wounds, according to a statement issued by the Warsaw Police Department. It said he was treated at the scene but refused to be taken to a hospital.

Crystal M. Bennett, 33, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, police said. Police said she also had minor injuries.

Both were described by police as being intoxicated at the time of the fight in their home.
