Five to watch

Huntington North (0-1) at North Side (1-0): The Redskins’ offense was in top gear in a 54-33 win over Concordia, while the Vikings’ defense was shredded in a 53-12 loss to Homestead. This has the makings of a high-scoring contest.

Delta (1-0) at Carroll (1-0): Last year, the Eagles won the matchup on the field 28-23 but the Chargers received the “W” after the game was later forfeited. Carroll, which opened with a convincing 45-7 win over Goshen, is looking to get the win on the field this time. Delta beat Jay County 24-7 in Week 1.

Bellmont (1-0) at South Adams (1-0): These county rivals both won season openers, the Braves 26-19 over Woodlan and the Starfires 13-0 over Winchester. Last year, Bellmont won this matchup 13-10.

Leo (1-0) at Angola (1-0): The Lions improved their regular-season winning streak to 17 straight games with a 45-7 win over Norwell last week. The Hornets drubbed West Noble 56-19 to give new coach Josh Schoeff his first win.

Bremen (1-0) vs. Tippecanoe Valley (0-1): This matchup will be played 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium as part of a quadruple-header at the home of the Indianapolis Colts. The Vikings fell to Culver Academy 22-7, while the Lions beat Plymouth 42-26 last week.
