A man convicted of three sex offenses in Michigan lives and works in Angola but did not register for years after moving to Indiana, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.
It said in a statement that Adam G. Garza, 43, is required to register for life as a sexually violent predator because of crimes committed between 1997 and 2005.
Garza has been in Angola since July 2007, the statement said.
He was arrested Friday on a charge of failing to register, and the sheriff’s department said he also had outstanding warrants in Michigan alleging several offenses.
Garza was being held at the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 bond.
