The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 18-year-old woman.

Deputies were called Sunday to Suburban Acres Mobile Home Park, 3699 N. County Road 175 East, by family members, the sheriff's department said in a statement. The family members said Aurora Shoemaker, 18, left on Thursday to go for a walk and never returned home, the statement said.

It said Shoemaker was last seen in the trailer park northeast of Warsaw about 4 p.m., and attempts to contact her via her cellphone have been unsuccessful.

Shoemaker is about 5-foot-6, with short, blonde hair, police said. She has green eyes, a thin frame and piercings on her lip.

Tips can be called in on the anonymous police line at 574-372-2494 or the regular line at 574-267-5667.
