A fall preview
We are still in the middle of one of the hottest summers weve ever seen. Not that you would know it by walking outside lately: Over the last 10 days, we have hit 80 degrees only once.
The numbers are even more amazing when you consider the complete turnaround we have experienced. Three of the first four days this month we made it into the 90s, but even with that stretch of heat, the average temperature this month is running a full degree below normal. The last time we were below normal for a month was September of last year.
Weather wise: The drought situation is finally getting better, too. Already this month we have seen more rain than all of May, June and the first half of July combined.
