This week, I chat with Spencer Hannah about Herdy and share a Little Gray Hat.
Little Gray Hat
Readers of the paper and this blog will have already seen this pattern on Thursday, but I wanted to put it with this show, too.
I think I've mentioned that I'm digging all of the way through my stash to unearth the riches of handspun yarn that my sister has made for me over the years. I'm turning most of it into little hats for her baby, who is due in a little over a month. (!) So, this one uses leftovers from a gray wool/fox fur blend that I originally used to make a hat for myself. Sadly, that hat was lost in New York City, where I hope someone else loves it as much as I did. Any soft, worsted-weight yarn would work to make this special little hat.
Chat
I met Spencer at TNNA and chatted with him, over the phone, when he was in the states for another convention. There is a little background noise, but if you stick through it you can hear about Herdwick sheep, Herdy's partnership with Dream in Color yarns and what's coming up from this fun company.
