Man, 25, admits sex with 13-year-old

Ramos

FORT WAYNE – A man who admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old girl last year is facing 10 years in prison.

Richard P. Ramos, 25, of the 200 block of Lexington Court, pleaded guilty to one count of child molesting Thursday, according to Allen Superior Court records.

Ramos was accused of having sex multiple times with a girl who walked his dogs for him, according to court records. At first, the girl told Ramos she was 15 and then later told him she was actually 13, records said.

In a plea agreement with Allen County prosecutors, Ramos would be sentenced to 15 years in prison with five of those years suspended in return for his guilty plea to one count of child molesting.

Two other counts of child molesting against him would be dropped, according to the plea agreement.

An Allen County judge will either accept or deny the plea agreement at Ramos’ sentencing hearing, scheduled for Sept. 7.
